More about the shenanigans what you’ll find here
Joey doesn’t share the food…. but he does share the recipes. At least -this- Joey.
This whole thing started by sharing recipes on my social media and hosting the occasional sourdough class. I figured why not create a space everyone could come back to and it could live long forever on the intrawebs.
We love food. We love trying new recipes, making them our own, and sharing meals with friends. Some of those friends just happen to not live close enough by to make it over for dinner so this is also for you.
Here you’ll find recipes made from -mostly- whole ingredients and a pretty basic skill level. Everything I know I learned from my momma in our kitchen or through trial and error. And there has been a lot of errors… so don’t be afraid to mess up, mix it up and get messy in the kitchen. Be sure to share your successes and failures with us. We love to see what ya’ll are making too.
Homeschooling is a lot like Bruno. We don’t like to talk about him…
But when I do, my hope is to share nuggets of helpful wisdom I’ve picked up a lot the way to help you. From other moms or moments of epiphanies.
We have been at it since 2016 and we wouldn’t have it any other way, but goodness sake! Do I have a love-hate relationship with it. It tends to hi-light all the parts of me that need the most work. It takes the most discipline to stay consistent and a whole lot of of Jesus to keep at it year after year.
I’m forever reminding myself, we get to make the rules when doubt tries to set in. If you’ve been at it for a while, just starting or thinking about home educating, you’re in good company. I’ll always shoot you straight and never sugar coat the hard parts or belittle the gloriousness of the good parts.
